Introduction

Welcome to Mealy! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Mealy web application (the “Service”) made available at https://https://www.mealyhq.com By using Mealy, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Overview of the Service

Mealy is a web-based platform that allows users to manage recipes and create meal plans. Access is currently limited to early access users. We may expand features or availability in the future.

2. User Accounts

To access the Service, you must create an account using our authentication provider, Clerk. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and all activity under your account.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and login credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

3. Data Collection & Privacy

Your use of Mealy is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

You agree to:

• Account information via Clerk
• Recipes and meal plans you create
• Usage analytics via PostHog

We use Render.com (US-based) as our hosting provider.

4. Use of the Service

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful or harmful purpose
• Access or attempt to access another user's data without permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks.
• Reverse-engineer or copy any part of the Service without consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

Mealy retains ownership of the platform and all related intellectual property. You retain ownership of the content you create (recipes and meal plans), but grant Mealy a limited license to use it for providing the Service.

You may not use the Mealy brand or assets without written permission.

6. Pricing and Payments

The Service is currently offered free of charge during the early access phase. In the future, we may introduce paid plans or subscriptions. You will be notified before any such changes and must accept new terms before charges apply.

7. Hosting and Availability

Mealy is hosted on Render.com using infrastructure based in the United States. While we strive for continuous availability, we do not guarantee uptime or uninterrupted service.

8. Termination

You may stop using Mealy at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms or for any reason, with or without notice.

You may request deletion of your data by emailing mealyhq@gmail.com.

9. Limitation of Liability

Mealy is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mealy is not liable for any damages resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect product changes or legal requirements. We'll notify you via email or in-app notice before changes take effect. Continued use of Mealy after updates constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Children's Use

The Service is not intended for use by children under 13. If we learn that a child has registered without appropriate consent, we will delete the account and associated data.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
